Helping Hand Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences, Mansehra is a well-known educational and rehabilitation institute in the reign which is striving to provide quality education in the fields of Rehabilitation Sciences and allied health sciences since 2009 in Mansehra. Since its inception HHIRS is growing toward its destination with full commitment according its vision and mission.
Helping Hand Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences, Mansehra is working as constituent college of Riphah International University, Pakistan since 2014.
Since 2021 it is working as affiliated College of Khyber Medical University in its undergraduate programs.
We are offering a wide range of educational programs for undergraduate and matriculate students like as
DPT is the professional degree in physical therapy sanctioned by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) comprises of 5 years (10 semesters), equivalent 17 years of schooling. They diagnose and treat movement dysfunctions due to injuries or diseases. In this degree program the students also study the clinically-based courses include medical screening, examination tests and measures, diagnostic process, therapeutic interventions, outcomes assessment, and practice management.
Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 60% marks in intermediate (FSc/A Levels) with pre-medical subjects, from a recognized board/ university/institute and Candidates are required to take the entry test (KMU-CAT)
Documents Required: You need to bring 4 saets of Pasport size photograps, DMC Matric , DMC FSc. ID Card Copy / FORM B, Father ID Card Migration certificate duly attested from a gazeted office.
The bachelor of sciences in Speech-Language Pathology is a four-year program that aims to produce graduates in the country who will be competent to identify, assess, evaluate, manage, treat, educate and help to prevent language, speech, voice, fluency, cognitive, and other related communication disorders and swallowing problems. This degree program will cover wide range of communication disorders due to neurological deficits, hearing impairment, language, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, autism, cleft palate, brain injuries, feeding and swallowing difficulties.
Objective of BS-SLP
To provide in–depth knowledge of communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan
To develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
To enhance written and oral communication skills, and information literacy.
To provide the theoretical and applied expertise to select, use, and analyze the methodology available to evaluate and treat individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
To prepare students for a career in the profession of speech-language pathology
To provide the concepts and model the behaviors indicative of ethical practice within the profession of speech-language pathology.
Understand the social and cultural bases of speech and language behaviors.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent and Candidates are required to take the entry test (KMU-CAT)

Prosthetic and orthotic is 4 years (8th semesters) Bachelor of Science degree affiliated with Khyber medical university. It is a worldwide recognized qualification in biomedical engineering. Orthotics is concerned with the design, fabrication, and fitting of braces, whereas prosthetics is concerned with the design, manufacture, and fitting of artificial limb. An orthotist is a healthcare provider who makes and fits braces and splints (orthoses). A prosthetist is a medical professional who creates and fits prosthetic limbs for people with disabilities (amputation). This includes artificial legs and arms for people who have had amputations due to cancer, diabetes, or injury.
In this course, student will learn anatomy of human body, pathology, physiology, biomechanics, material technology, clinical orthopedics. At the end of course student will be able to assess, diagnosed orthopedic related deformities and modern orthotic and prosthetic prescription techniques.
Scope of Prosthetist and Orthotist
Prosthetist and orthotist work in private and Govt hospitals, private clinical setups, International non-government organizations. Prosthetist and orthotist can also join institute and university as faculty members. In immigration system of most countries, it is added in shortage occupation list.
